    Jay Foster Law

Jay Foster is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi and graduated from Biloxi High School. He attended undergraduate school at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Subsequently, he attended law school at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi.  While in law school he interned with former Circuit Court Judge James E. Thomas.  As an intern, he assisted Judge Thomas in preparation for multiple trials and motions ranging from Mississippi car wrecks to Mississippi residents injured on the job.

After graduating law school, Jay accepted a Judicial Clerkship with Justice James Roberts of the Mississippi Supreme Court.  As a Judicial Clerk, he assisted Justice Roberts in numerous appeals involving all types of issues raised at the trial court level.  After completing his clerkship with Justice Roberts, Jay accepted a Judicial Clerkship with Presiding Judge James E. Thomas on the Mississippi Court of Appeals.  The experience on the Appellate Court as a Judicial Clerk was similar to the Supreme Court as countless issues raised at the trial court level were decided.

Subsequently, Jay was employed with various law firms in Mississippi which specialized in personal injury and insurance defense litigation. Jay has now established his own private law practice in Mississippi.  He specializes in personal injury litigation, including wrecks involving 18 Wheelers, car wrecks, workers’ compensation, Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Injuries, dog bites, and nursing home injuries.

His hobbies include the New Orleans Saints, and yes, despite their sometimes poor play, Jay Foster remains a devoted New Orleans Saints fan.  He is also a lifetime member of the United States Judo Association.  If you are interested in participating in Judo, please call Jay Foster's Office or Jim Hunt at 228-806-8125.

Jay Foster is actively involved in numerous charitable events and organizations in Mississippi. He is the Past President, Past Vice-President, and Past Secretary of the Coast Business Leaders Association.  The motto of the Coast Business Leaders Association is "Preserving the Past. . .Ensuring the Future."   The Association is comprised of professionals in a wide variety of fields and has raised and donated funds to several youth shelters, the Boy Scouts, adoption services, and the Boys and Girls Club.

In addition, Jay Foster is committed to providing free legal services to those who cannot afford an attorney.  In this regard, he has consistently represented battered women across the State of Mississippi who are unable to afford a lawyer for free.  In addition, since Hurricane Katrina he has assisted literally dozens of people with various legal issues from landlord-tenant disputes to SBA loans to the great "wind versus water" debate.  Please visit our "Web Resources" page or "FAQ" page for further information about free legal help and other free help.
