Alishia Newman Killed

An awful tragedy for the family and friends of Alishia Newman.

The Sun Herald reported this accident.

I hate to hear about things like this.

I honestly don’t know what I would do if a friend or family member of mine was involved in something like this.

A true tragedy for Alishia and her friends and family members

The Harrison County Corner says Alishia Newman was killed by a train.

She had apparently just been married.

Apparently, she was crossing the railroad tracks with a friend.

According to news reports, Alishia Newman and her friend were going to get something to eat.

The friend made it across the tracks and she did not make it.

The police department investigated the tragedy.

I’ve written about train collisions before but usually it involves a car.

In this train accident, she was apparently walking across the railroad tracks.

One of the officers investigating this accident indicated that he felt they were trying to beat the train.

I don’t know whether that is true or not.

I do know it is awful.

Awful for the family members and friends of everyone.

What a horrible tragedy.
