James Clinton Reid of Mississippi died in Stone County early Friday while travelling with friends to the Gulfport Dragway.

He was heading to the Memorial Day blowout weekend.

James Clinton Reid of Mississippi was struck from behind while he and two other motorcyclists followed behind friends pulling a camper with a pickup truck.

The camper had a flat tire and they were pulling over when the driver of a sport utility vehicle struck his motorcycle
The driver of the SUV looked up and it was to late.
James Clinton Reid of Mississippi‘s fatal crash on U.S. 49 was around 2 a.m. in an area south of the overpass in Perkinston.

The driver of the SUV said he had looked down at his dashboard, and when he looked up, he tried to turn to avoid the crash but it was too late.

James Clinton Reid of Mississippi died at the scene and the driver of the SUV was taken to Stone County Hospital.
The unidentified driver is believed to be in the Air Force and was travelling from Starksville to Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Flurry said.
I don’t know if the unidentified driver was wearing a seat belt, but I do know that it can make a huge difference.
Although, because he was riding a motorcycle, there wasn’t much chance for  James Clinton Reid of Mississippi.
