What is worse? Talking on your cell phone or driving drunk? Read on to find out.

One of the causes of car wrecks in Mississippi is talking and driving. What I mean is talking on your cell phone and driving. Believe it or not, some studies have shown that talking on your cell phone while driving makes it four times more likely that you will be in a car accident. In fact, the New England Journal Of Medicine conducted a study in 1997 in which 699 drivers were involved in car wrecks. The researchers looked at cell phone billing records to determine when the driver was on the phone. The results were astounding and showed the four times more likely statistic of having a wreck.

Incredibly, additional studies have shown that talking on your cell phone and driving is more dangerous than drunk driving! Researchers in Great Britain discovered that reaction times were significantly slower while talking on a cell phone than drunk driving!

Thus, it is more dangerous to drive while talking on your cell phone than when you are drunk!

If you are around someone who is talking on their cell phone: watch out! The statistics show you may be likely to get in a wreck in Mississippi.

Whether your wreck was in Ocean Springs, Biloxi, Gulfport, Pascagoula, Hattiesburg, or anywhere else in Mississippi, if it was caused by someone talking on their cell phone, the statistics show they should not have been on the phone.
