Mississippi Car Wreck or Accident – Turn Signals

by Jay Foster, Mississippi Car Wreck Lawyer

Section 63-3-707 of the Mississippi Code states what the law is in regards to turning and turn signals in Mississippi when you are driving. This statute is designed to try and help prevent car wrecks or accidents.

Section 63-3-707, states, in pertinent part,

A signal of intention to turn right or left shall be given continuously for a reasonable distance before turning.

In other words, Mississippi drivers must use turn signals when making a turn. Mississippi drivers must also use the turn signal, not at the last second, but at a reasonable distance before turning. This helps prevent Mississippi car wrecks and accidents.
