Frivolous Lawsuit – McDonalds Happy Meal

As you know, I usually write about car wrecks in Gulfport or worker’s compensation accidents in Pascagoula or something of that nature.  Why?  Because I represent people who get hurt in only four areas: car wrecks, trucking accidents, worker’s compensation accidents, and longshore accidents.

But, a case came up today and I just have to talk about with you.

I get tired of lawyers wondering why we have a bad reputation.  You know why lawyer have a bad reputation?

Because it is deserved.

I read the paper and watch the news just like you do and I see stupid, idiotic, frivolous lawsuits all the time.  It drives me crazy.

Let me give you one example.

Monet Parham filed a lawsuit against McDonalds and claimed that McDonalds shouldn’t put toys in their happy meals because it somehow violates a consumer protection law.  And, putting the toys in the happy meals somehow entices kids to want to eat happy meals.

Look, I understand your kids want happy meals.  Mine do also.  But, at some point, parents have to take responsibility.

It is real simple.  Use the word “No.”  I realize that for some reason parents just can’t seem to do this but it is THE MOST effective word in the English language.

I just don’t get why parents can’t do this.  Do you?

If you answer this question on the blog, I will give you a FREE book (see below to get it).  I sell this for $29.95 book but you get it FREE!  This offer expires 2 weeks from today.
